With more than 25 years as a trial attorney, Rosalyn Henderson-Myers is a key member of the Spartanburg office. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, she works on bankruptcy cases, injury cases, premises liability, tort litigation, media law, wills and alternative dispute resolution. As primary counsel, she has tried more than 100 cases to verdict in state courts and has handled numerous matters in federal court. Most recently, she served as corporate counsel for a major insurance company in Philadelphia where she handled over 500 cases to final resolution. While in Philadelphia she served as an arbitrator with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. She currently serves as an arbitrator on the commercial law panel of the American Arbitration Association, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the American Health Lawyers Association. Her experience in ADR includes being a South Carolina certified arbitrator and family court mediator.  She was appointed by Florida Governor Jeb Bush to serve on the North Central Florida Regional Planning Council. While in Gainesville, she was a faculty member of the Florida Bar Association’s Prosecutor/Public Defender School. She also served as a judge and faculty member to the University of Florida School of Law trial team competitions. In August 1999, Alabama Governor Donald Siegelman, appointed her as district court judge for the 28th Judicial Circuit for the State of Alabama. Upon moving to Alabama, she led the Juvenile and Child Support Divisions and was also the drug prosecutor for the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Henderson-Myers was a prosecutor for New Orleans Parish District Attorney Harry Connick, Sr. Before law school, Ms. Henderson-Myers was a computer programmer/analyst and consultant for several major corporations, including IBM and Michelin Tire Corporation, and for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Currently, Ms. Henderson-Myers serves as City Councilmember for the City of Spartanburg, District 3 and is Representative-Elect of the South Carolina House of Representatives District 31.
